Default Where can I get A35 1.3 FW rollback disc from???

I have no way of burning a disc to roll back to 1.3 from 4.0...I seem to have more issues with 4.0 than I ever did with 1.3 which was the best FW for me...I would like to go back to 1.3...

Toshiba still lists firmware 1.3 for the HD-A35 on their site for down load.

I don't know if the player will permit you to install an older firmware over the one installed, however. You may have to hack the 1.3 firmware somehow to convince the player it is newer than what is already installed. I suggest perusing the AVS forum to see if folks have done that and provided instructions. However, firmware 4.0 has been pretty solid for most of us and I haven't heard of folks wanting to go backwards from 4.0 before. But it is worth checking over there.

Update: Personally, I think you are looking for trouble, however, look here if you are determined:

I use Imgburn to make my firmware update CD-Rs for HD-DVD and Blu-Ray.

If you have a computer with a cd-rw burner drive in it, the link I provided has the roll-back firmware which supposedly works. You would use Imgburn (a free program available for download) to burn the firmware disc using the "write image file to disc" option to burn the .iso image downloaded to a cd-r.

The symptoms aren't Windows unable to load a CD/DVD-ROM driver and a ! beside your drive in device manager by any chance?

Have you tried clearing persistent storage in your player?

I believe my hard drive is corrupted...The CD/DVD ROM will only occasionally recognize as anything being inserted and absolutely will not burn anything...My 2nd CD ROM drive doesn't recognize anything at all...I know it is a computer/program issue but have never gotten around to getting it repaired...One of these days I'll just say the heck with it and buy a new computer...This one is about 6 years old now...
