Default Audio Sync/strange Behavior truHD

I just popped in The Thing and had strange behavior where the movie would freeze, video would start going in fast forward while the sound continued, and then would freeze and continue normally, although off sync. It's not a truHD disc, but I was listening via the 5.1 outputs. Did the same thing in a different scene with the DD Plus. It's not the disc (I don't think) because I could rewind it to the previous chapter and it didn't happen again in the same spot.

I also have sync, freeze and speed up problems with the truHD on batman begins (bummer!)

I have the latest update (me thinks). Is anyone else having this problem or does anyone know if this is a confirmed bug they are planning on working out with a firmware update?

Thanks!

Yes I do. I went looking for a newer update, didn't see one available yet.

A few peple have mentioned re-flashing their firmware has helped with some glitches and problems. Couldn't hurt to try.....

What steps do I need to take to re-flash? When I go into updates, it tells me that I already have the latest firmware. Any way around this prompt?

Unfortunately, you'll need a disc with the firmware update on it from my understanding. If you call the Toshiba tech line, they will mail you one and they have been saying soon they will have it available for download off their site.
