Default 1080p/24fps setting on XA2

Please forgive me if this issue is listed elsewhere on here......but can't seem to find it.

Had firmware 3.0 (recently back to 2.7) and had the resolution setting at 1080p/24hz and frame rate set the same but noticed that standard DVD's looked really choppy (concert videos) So I thought this was an issue caused by 2.8 and not fixed by 3.0, so I rolled back to 2.7 and I still get the same when set to 1080p/24hz. If I change everything to just 1080p then all is fine with these said concert DVD's. HD DVD looks fine no matter what 1080p setting I use.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Any fixes?
Any help with this would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Concert video's are just that videos and not films. I belive te 1080P/24hz is meant for films only.

The 1080p24 option is only meant to work with material shot at 24 frames per second (the standard for feature films). Concert videos are usually shot on video at 60 fields per second, and will look jerky when frame-rate converted to 24 fps.

Should I just have it set to "auto" under frame rate to avoid this?

If you set it for Auto, 1080p24 will be turned off no matter what the disc is. You'll have to go in and turn that setting on and off depending on what you watch.
