Default Wireless for XA2

I don't have an ethernet cable in my living room. Is there a wireless adapter like from linksys or something that can plug into it for Firmware updates?

I had to drag my router to the room I have the XA2 in. Actually this is not bad because you will have to restart the router anyway for the settings to be detected by the XA2. Make sure the router is connected to the XA2 before you turn the player on. The download went smoothly and took about 45 minutes total.

Try the Logitech Play Link. It comes with two little black boxes boxes that communicate with each other wirelessly. Plug one box to each device and as far as the devices are concerned, there is just a wire directly connecting them.

Worked great updating my A2.

You might look into a wireless bridge as well. I have several netgear wg602v3 access points in my house that allow me to connect my ethernet devices to onto my wireless network.

For those looking to do this, the following setup works really well for media and device updates. I run an Apple 802.11n wireless, and have the a Toshiba XA-2 connected to an Apple Airport Express. The sytem is configured using WDS, with the Express as the remote and the Ethernet WAN port on auto. Connection sharing is off, which sets up the Express as a bridge.

With this, and the XA-2 setup with DHCP, viola, wireless updates, AND the ability to drive my home system from my laptop. I got a nifty little USB remmote that allows me to control iTunes from a different room, which makes it a sweet audio/video setup.
