Default HD A30 Combo Disc Problems?

Has anyone else experienced problems with the HD A30 when playing combo discs? About half way through the movie (perhaps when it switches layers?) I always get movies freezing up. It's happened on Mr. Bean, the Fountain, and one or two other movies. Anyone else had this problem and does anyone know of a solution?

I haven't had a problem yet, I have about 15 minutes left in Children of Men and watched another yesterday (can't remember this second). Sorry yours is giving you issues.

I have the latest firmware. Toshiba told me it's "complicated" and "a known problem" last I had talked to them.

I have that problem w/ The Bourne Ultimatum. It played the 1st time until about an hour in then just froze up. Since then it won't even play at all, always displaying a system error message. The dvd side of the movie plays w/ no problem. Its too late for me to replace it, don't think I want to run the risk of getting another copy and have it happen again. I think I'll wait for it to come out on blu ray.

I have an A30 and the only problems I've ever had have been with Combo discs. I exchanged Order of the Phoenix twice, Ultimatum once, and Tokyo Drift once. I still have issues with the second Tokyo Drift, but they are with the extras, the movie plays fine. I think the problems lie in the manufacture process of the Combo's . Some play O.K., and some are bad since exchanging the disc has resolved problems. I have the latest firmware, and like I said, the Combo discs are the only ones I've ever had issues with.

Did they at least tell you they were working on a fix for the "known problem?"

Yes, but that was before the whole Warner thing. So who knows if they are still working on it.
