Default Remaining time on the screen?

I have a question about an A30......is there anyway to show the remaining time on the tv screen? I can get the remaining time to show up on my A30 front display by pressing the display button 3 times. However, it puts a large black block on the tv screen with all of the movie specs and leaves it there as long as the remaining time is dispplaye on the A30 front panel.

Is there any other way to configure this? Seems like there must be a better way?

Doesn't pausing it tell you how much time is left?

Yes with an HD DVD, I forgot to mention that this is for SD DVD playback?

you have to look at the front panel of the machine itself for time remaining.

No, unfortunately Toshiba designed all of their HD DVD players with the time-remaining readout only on the front panel.

Well I kind of figured that might have been the case, but was hoping I was wrong. One of the nice things about my PS3 is that with one touch of a button the remaining time will show up on the screen then fade away after a couple of seconds. A very handy feature. My eyes are not so young anymore that it can be hard to read the counter on the front of the A30. However, with HD DVD playback.....its no problem...I love the big red time bar.
