Default Would it be best to wait to purchase a dual format player?

Im thinking on purchasing a dual format player. I already have a Toshiba A2 and a Samsung BDP 1400.

Im really liking the thoughts of just having one player for both. Would it be best to WAIT for the Samsung 5000 unit to drop in price? Do you think it would be soon? Is it still going to be manufactured and is the newer unit still set to come out in the Fall?

Personally I'd wait for something better than the Samsung. Maybe the new LG dual format would be good when it comes out. I'm happy with my A3 and BD30 players.

IMO, there's little logic behind purchasing a dual player when you already have one, let alone both.

You'd be spending several hundred dollars to save yourself a few cubic inches of shelf space and a little remote clutter.

I'm looking into dual format players. I will be going neutral eventually so figured better to by a dual format player. Its kind of like a back up HD DVD player, but can also play blu-ray.

Looking into the LG BH200, I've heard some good things of this player. Right now the prices are too high though. The best price I've seen is $659. I'm going to wait for the price to get below $600.

Something tells me that Dual players will not experience any price drops from the HD DVD fallout.

If anything, I kinda wonder if their selling prices will increase in coming weeks. I imagine there will be a lot of red refugees looking for one.
