Thumbs up Price war on the HD-XA2

Seems that there is a price war going on between Amazon merchants on the HD-XA2. I'm keeping and eye on the Amazon price because of the 30 day price guarantee and just today I've seen the price on the HD-XA2 gone down 3 times. The price right now stands at $ $679.88 + shipping. That's almost $100.00 less that the price I paid directly thru Amazon a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully Amazon themselves will join in the fracas so I can get some money back. Would love to buy some movies with that money.

Default what 30 day price guarantee?

Will Amazon refund the price difference even tho you bought it from ...lets say Electronics expo, but through Amazon as a merchant?

I think it's through amazon and amazon only. They protect you from the third party sellers, but I don't think they match them.

Exactly. I think the original poster meant that he hoped that Amazon reduced their own price in order to compete with the third-party sellers, and if they did, then he could get a partial refund from Amazon.

If this player ever hits the $500 mark, I'm going to have to pull the trigger on it.

My HD-A1 upconverts wonderfully and I can't imagine that it will be even better with this player...so, I'm keeping an eye on this one.
