Default Amazon Rocks!!! You Might Want to Read this!

I bought the Toshiba A-35 a couple of weeks ago, the price went down, and Amazon refunded me the difference. Then I emailed them 2 days ago about Best Buy offering 2 extra movies of your choice from the store. Amazon wants to keep me as a customer so they are giving me two free movies. I just ordered them and talked to customer service and they will refund me the cost of the HD DVD's. I think that is so awesome. So if you bought a HD DVD player from Amazon within the last 30 days, contact them about getting your 2 free movies to match Best Buy's deal.

Absolutely - they were willing to take back my HD-A30 and movies Christmas gift for a full refund after the Warner announcement with no hassle, even though everything was opened and used. I decided to keep it anyway - and I'm quite happy with my decision (got a HD-A30 + 10 free movies + a bunch of favorite titles for $10 each after sale+bogo and then Amazon matched all the price reductions from Toshiba in January . . not a bad deal . . and no hassles with any of it). I like my hd-dvd - and would not have gotten into blu-ray regardless of Warner's betrayal.

Amazon is a first class e-tailer. I have gotten various discounts through them without any hassle. They have a good policy on their own price cuts, but I was not aware of them price-matching other entities. If this is true, I have missed out on various additional savings. I can't find the offer you are mentioning with Best Buy where you get two additional HD-DVDs when you buy an HD-DVD player. All that I see on their website is the 2 additional packaged (300 and Bourne Identity) and the 5 by rebate. But I don't see where you get an additional 2 on top of the 7.
Either way I did get a $10 adjustment on my a35 and I did tell Amazon that BB was giving away two extra HD-DVDs and the customer service rep said that she was forwarding my request to the marketing team and that I would get a response in about 2 business days. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Bladerunner and Beowulf HD-DVDs for free would be freakin' amazing!

I just love amazon, they refund on 99.9% of the time. I love how they refund on the BOGO deals, they actually refund you money on a free movie that you got on the BOGO, truely amazing. They price matched about $40 on my HD a30.

I just recently purchased about 8 HDs from Amazon with their recent sale. But, 4 of them are $12.20 at DeepDiscount. Do you think I could get a partial refund for the HD-DVDs? Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks in advance!
