Default Burned Dual Layer Discs on HD-A1

I haven't been able to play any of my burned DL+R discs on my Toshiba HD-A1. It plays all my single layer +R discs, but reports an error when I pop in a dual layer +R disc. Has anyone been able to play DL+R discs, and if so did you do something special so the player would recognize them?

I have had GREAT success with Verbatim Dual Layer Media. I burn it at 2.4x and they all come out great.

My HD-A1 is at firmware 2.0
