Default Firmware version 2.8!

Just got my disc from Toshiba today. Has anyone updated their hardware yet? I don't see any threads on 2.8 yet....I was wondering if it just came out today?

You might want to hold off on applying that one if you use 1080p24 output. Firmware 2.8 causes problems at that resolution with discs encoded with AVC MPEG-4.

They include Firmware Disc cards in the box. I sent it (XA2) last March and still haven't received one(?).

As for the update my XA2's improved in the Loading/Web-Enable.

I used ethernet to download 2.8. I was having trouble with B. Ultimatum and the download fixed my issues. I had to dump persistent memory though. Check the threads here on that.

Now my A2 is working smoothly again.
