original post---- This scared me, went to a larger Best buy today and saw over 15+ open box hd-a3's on the floor that they were trying to sell open box for $165...
that's crazy that so many people just ran back and just dumped all there hd players back like they all went bad after the Warner crapolla! And who knows how many more they had back by customer service!

I saw several people returning them and unopened HD-DVDs as well. There were a few A3s as open box I could see.

Nows a good time to pick up another HD-DVD player cheap if you plan on getting a spare.

There have been several reports of this nature about Best Buy. I stopped at the Best Buy in Springfield, MO a few days ago and saw 4 open Box HD-A30's and 1 open box Blu-ray player. I didn't notice any HD-A3s which seemed odd, maybe there were many returned and just not sitting in the store currently, I have no way to know. That was hardly the quantity others have reported seeing, but might be significant.

I have been to the two Best Buy stores in Fort Wayne, and my observations are quite different. Neither store has been selling any BluRay or HD players. I do know, however, that they now have an opened Sharp Aquos player at one of the stores...

In the first part of December, there weren't any HD-A3s to be found. It looks like all the stores around here have a few in stock, unopened.
