Default Red/greenish macroblocking on HD-DVD's. How do I get rid of it?

I have a Philips 37" LCD and I'm using the A3 with a Monster HDMI cable(don't ask, I was conned into it!) Here's a picture of what I'm talking about:

It only appears on red/brown/flesh/cream tones on screen, especially on things that don't move in the background, such as brown walls or something like that. The screeny is from the otherwise immaculate Hulk HD-DVD. Does anyone know what this is, and/or how I can be rid of it?

Have you calibrated your set? If this appears in more sources then just HD DVDs then its your TV. You might want to change some of the settings to see what works.

I also moved this thread to the HD DVD Hardware general section as the OP is using an A3.

How would I go about calibrating it? Should I just play around with the settings until it disappears?

I also see this happening on HD channels as well as regular DVDs, so I guess it is the TV.

I know you can buy/down load cd's that will guide you through setting up your HDtv. It is talked about in this thread..
