Default Any Problems w/Star Trek: TOS Season 1 HD-DVD's?

I have the Samsung BD-UP5000 and haven't had a single problem until I started the episode "Where No Man Has Gone Before" on the first disc. It wont even play. This is my first problem as I've listed in the cross format hardware section. But I wanted to know since this was an HD-DVD disc and a COMBO format disc, I wanted to know if any of you HD-DVD exclusive people might have had the same problem on any of your HD-DVD players.

Not done here..... GET THIS

The second disc had "The Naked Time" on it and it kept skipping and hiccuping the whole time and even flickered black then back to screen again throughout the whole damn thing in intervals of say like 1-4 minutes each time.

After that I was done with the combo set. Maybe you all would have better luck with it. Chickengas made an offer to buy it but I dont know for how much. Anyone else want it? I didn't even touch the last few discs in it. It's brand new, only not sealed. Hit me up with a message if you guys want to purchase it from me. Sucks too cuz I paid the full 179.99 dollar value from best buy.

Hm. I think it's because of your Combo-Player. They are famous for having problems. I'd keep it and wait for an firmware update.

You sure it's probably my combo player? And NOT the combo discs?

I've only watched disks 1-4 so far but they have played flawlessly on my HD-A2. All other disks load to menus at least.

No, the menus are fine but the episodes either dont play at all once you click "Engage episode" or they hiccup and/or skip a lot. Know what I'm sayin?

I've made it through discs 1-6 so far, and haven't had a single problem on my A35, including the "Where no man has gone before" episode.

Put it this way--I have YET to update my original A2 from a year ago EVER and have not had any problems watching this set. I think that says it all unfortunately.

A little off topic, but what are folks impressions of Star Trek: TOS? So far, I actually a little disappointed. I think they did a little too good a job on the restoration - it makes the often cheap & corny sets and costumes too painfully obvious.

I have had absolutely no problem with Star Trek.Playing on XA2.Looks awesome.I think they did such an amazing job on restoration it makes you wonder why it's cleaner than some of the new stuff.
VERY IMPRESSED!!!
Cheesey sets were cheesy sets,...but the stories are what have made StarTrek last all these years and I am looking forward to Season 2, although which format it will come out on is probably now the question.
