Default A3 Audio track DD+ or TrueHD

Hello, I currently have my A3 connected to my older Yamaha receiver via the toslink optical connection (my only realistic choice here). Some of my disks offer a choice of DD+ or TrueHD. Given that my audio is already downmixed to DD at 640mbps, is there any point to selecting one of these audio tracks over another? I haven't tried it yet but my gut feelings are that they should sound the same. (Which I must say sound great...surrounds seem to get a better workout, giving a more room filling sound to the audio. I did notice that I had to up the volume on my bass a bit).

From what I heard, the HD-A3 does not transcode to DTS 1.5 Mbit like the HD-A2 si I highly doupt it whould make a difference.
