Default Going Purple Tonight

Today I'm planning to go purple. I'll be upgrading my Blu-ray player and wonder what folks think about the Panasonic BD30K. I want the full 1.1 capabilities so I can take advantage of the forthcoming DVD's that use it. Is this a good player?

For HD, I'm looking at the Toshiba HD-A35. Any thoughts or comments about this player?

I'll be posting this on the forums for both formats.

Brad

a35 is the best one... go for it... ur getting a new bd player and an hd dvd player tonight? Sweet! ...

if you get the a35 from amazon, you get 5 discs free instantly and 5 more by mail.... plus it's cheaper from there.

Gratz for going purple. To be "purplish" feels damn good

I got purple approximatly one and a half month ago and it felt great. I just thought "Great, now I can have HD movies from all possible studios."

Santa got me a A30 to replace my A2 and I will be honest, I love it!!! The A30 is pretty awesome and the 10 free DVDs didn't hurt either.

Went Purple Oct 31st....

I have had the A35 for about a month and it has worked great. I am finally seeing DTS HD, True hd displayed on my reciever. One thing I don't like about the a35 is that it loads up slowly, not any faster then my a20. I would also like to know if anyone has the new panasonic player as I am interested in that player.

Default Panasonic

I've had the BD30K for a few weeks now. Great player.
I also have a BD10A. Excellent as well. Panasonic quality
and service are superb. If the BD30K has the features
you want in a player, then you will not be disappointed
by it's performance and reliability.

I have each of my Panny BD players paired with a Toshiba A3.

My Panashiba Dual Format Combo players are great !!

It's the only way to fly.

"Panashiba" is my Purple combo, although I have the A35 paired with BD-30. Both players are terrific. I like the BD-30 much, much better for BD than the PS3 20GB I tried earlier. The A35 was an upgrade to my 1st gen XA1, and loads much faster, almost as fast as the BD-30, which loads BDs almost as fast as the PS3.

Pair these players with an Onkyo or other HDMI 1.3 receiver with TrueHD & DTS MA decoding and you'll get much better sounding TrueHD, and the only way to get DTS MA on New Line & European HD DVDs and Fox's BD titles.
