Default Where to get an XA2?

Apparently a lot of stores don't carry the XA2 (Fry's, Best Buy, etc). Is this because there is a production shortage? I remember reading an interview with Tweeter that said they weren't getting enough players to meet demand (350 or so).

My replacement was the last in stock at Magnolia Valley Fair here in San Jose.

Cheers

I bought mine at One Call, the price matched it. I got it for $799.00 and 3 day shipping.

I know my Best Buy never carried them only the A2. Try Robert from ValueElectronics online. Great guy and he stands by his products. Of course you may not be shopping for one and are only wondering why some retail stores don't carry them. I wouldn't know, all I know is I am very happy with my XA2

My concern is: It's obviously the best HD DVD player on the market, so why is it hard to find one in stores?

I want to chalk this one up to manufacturing limitations.

Or maybe, going out on a limb here, the big box stores don't see much of a market for $800-1000 DVD players

I second the opinion of trying Robert from Value Electronics.
