Default Hd dvd add on to labtops...

Hey guys,

I just purchased a new dell lab top and i tend to watch alot of movies at work and lab tops come in handy. I was told that the hd dvd add on (microsoft) is viewalbe on the lab top. Is it just plug and play or do i need to do something speical.

If hooked up, what kind of resolution could i expect from the labtop???

Sorry if these questions are newbieish but any info would be great.

Thanks a bunch...

Yeah,

and then you'll also need PowerDVD Ultra 7.2 or higher or a HD-DVD enabled WinDVD Version.

First, you'll have to buy a laptop, I don't know what a "lab top" is. (sorry, couldn't resist.) But more seriously:

(1.) From an OS standpoint, you'll need XP, Vista, or OS X Leopard (v10.5) to run it.

(2.) As Blinx123 pointed out, you'll need the appropriate player software.

Here's a helpful link I found just by searching google for "hd dvd add-on drivers" (it's the second link if you use those terms): http://www.digital-digest.com/articl...ows_page1.html

Hope this helps.
