Congrats on your A3. No component cables were included.

I know on the A2 it was a composite cable. Not sure if anything changed with the A3. My suggestion would be to get an hdmi cable before the player arrives so you will be ready to watch Batman.

I got an A-3 for my Father-in-law and opened it to update the firmware. If I recall there are no cables of any kind in it. Just a power cord.

Don't sell your Xbox HD drive, it does a better job at upconverting standard dvds, let me know what you think between the two. You will need cables of your choice.

hmmm well on the list it says it comes with an "audio/video cable" ill be ok on HDMI since i can just switch the one on my ps3 out if i need to. But i might pick up another one for lazyness sake but since it words it as one single cable im gonna assume its HDMI, i hope im wrong though! i can use the ps3 for upconverting dvd's so i dont need the add on anymore... plus i wanna use the cash i get back from it for more HD DVD's or blu rays

If you bought the A3, it doesn't come with any A/V cables. However, if you bought the D3, it comes with an HDMI cable. The D3 is just the A3 + HDMI cable. Costco, for example, sells the D3. Kind of sounds like you have the D3 box.

Don't get rid of your Xbox HD DVD add on. Just hook it up to your PC and watch movies on your PC.

I dont watch movies on my pc unless they are downloaded ones. theres no need, i have everything hooked up to my home theater... so all i need to do is push a button and switch to whatever player besides, i dont think i would even be able to get HD audio formats with the pc wich would defeat the purpouse for me
