Default Does 2.7 fix XA2 analog audio 1080p24 synch?

2.5 was unusable for 24fps in my system because the audio was about 3/4 of a second off.

Any analog out users know if 2.7 fixed this?

According to Robert posting at AVS, it appears it did fix it.

Feel free to read up.

mrspeakers,

Once you do the update (if you do), please report back to us and let us know if you feel it's been corrected.

Thanks.

Problem solved. Install went smoothly, analog audio is now in synch. :-)

Oh yeah, ironically, when I called Toshiba support, the first tech I spoke to tried to tell me it was probably a problem with my xbr4 doing "perfect 24fps."

The second tech, though, knew it was a Toshiba issue.

Cheers!

I have recently updated my HD-A1 to 2.5 and it defaulted to bitsteamed audio and the movie starts playing in truHD rather then DD+ where as before this was the other way around. Does my player now support DTS-HD-HR/MA?

Also was there anything in the update to do with imaging?

I can confirm that 2.7 fixes the lip sync problem on the XA2. It fixes a lot of things, actually.

Josh

This is what I ascertained from fw 2.7;

1. 1080p/24 fixed
2. audio sync fixed
3. HBR added
4. Channel level increase, especially Bass levels. This was noticed immediately.

I wonder if #4 was a direct result from adding #3.

Anything else you noticed?

Are you saying the channel levels increased when using the bitstream function?

It also completely fixes the video stutter issue I'd been experiencing on selected discs such as World Trade Center and Serenity.

No, when using PCM and the analog connections, you set SPDIF to PCM
and all speakers to small to get Bass Managment to work properly.

After I downloaded 2.7 all channel levels increased, especially bass.

I tested this with 300. I was watching it before I updated and after I
updated to 2.7 the levels definately increased. I didn't test this with
a SPL meter but the differences were obvious to me from memory.

A couple of other people at AVS noticed this too.
