Default HD DVD players with HDMI 1.3?

Do any of the players support HDMI 1.3?

Or the European equivalent the XE1 given that you are in Germany.

Interesting, I did not know that. I might jump on that HD DVD player. Does it have 1080p as well?

Yes the XA2 has 1080p. I picked up one last night and its awesome. Definitely a big step up from the Xbox 360 Add-on.

The HD-A20 also has 1080p. But it is "only" HDMI 1.2

Mojo, how much better is the picture quality on the XA2 compared to the XBox 360 HD DVD player? Do you have a 1080p HDTV? Is it one of the 1080p/24 ones?

I have a 720p/1080i HDTV

Well the main difference is I'm only running it at 720p through the Add-on on my plasma. My fiancee has the VGA cable to use on her TV for 1080p. With the XA2 I can get 1080p through HDMI on my plasma and in additon get the lossless audio formats offered. Haha...and the player looks way nicer than the add-on.

Yes it does 1080p. Firmware is expected for late February that will allow it to do 1080p/24.
