So have you convinced your friends or family members into buying a HD DVD Player yet?

nope. I got my friend to get a PS3 but I doubt any of my friends would ever get a stand alone Blu-ray or HD-DVD player because their just not into that kinda stuff. I dont think any of them even own HD TV's so take it from there

Many of my coworkers are 90% there, they are just waiting for the price to drop another $100 or so.

My manager is sitting at 95% on the edge of buying a 360 and a HD-DVD addon, otherwise I don't know anyone else that has a HDTV

Two co-workers of mine got the 360 HD DVD addon (they already had 360s). For $160, its not hard to make that call.

So far, I have been unable to convience anyone (including myself) to get a BR player or PS3.

None of my friends own HDTVs but they've almost bought the 360 and add-on just from looking at mine on my 1080p tv.

I haven't yet. ONe of my friends has the 360 Add-on, and another may get one soon. Several own HD TV's but, haven't made the upgrade to HD DVD yet.

Too bad there not gonna get the quality you have. I love when people come over your house, check out your equipment and think they can reproduce the effect with an LCD from Walmart and HDMI cables from cheapcablesfrommexico.com.
