Default Leave the A2 on all the time?

We all know that start-up is very slow on the A2, and lately I've been thinking about just leaving it on even when I'm not using it. Do you guys think that it would be bad for the player? I know I leave many of my DVD players on all the time, and I've had them for years with no problems.

I dunno. One thing you risk is having a power surge from a power failure or some dirty electricity fry it's little brain unless you have surge protection.

Probably not a good idea. I'd say power off for the night. Mine loads up fast enough.

You must have ADD if you can't wait 30-40 SECONDS to start a movie. What a joke.

LOL. If you REALLLLY can't deal with the 40+ second initial start up time i guess. I usually turn it on. Then go to grab the movie. By the time i'm back with the disk it's ready to open up.

They have alot of HD-A2 demo units running 8 hours a day every day so they're sturdy players. Just in case buy a few at $99 for backups At that price why not.

I race my XA2-power it up and start whacking beers till my reciever accepts the HDMI signal. The best I've got so far is 4 12ozers. But I keep tryin'.
