Default Should I even bother to update my Transformers for the Add on?

I never have my Xbox 360 addon hooked up to live when I watch movies. I haven't had a problem watching Transformers because I of course don't have to download an update and it loads within seconds. I keep reading everyone having problems with the net when watching it. What does the update even do? Will I have these same problems if I have the internet on when watching it. I just don't want to mess mine up when I have had such luck watching it before.

I must be one of the lucky ones cause I haven't experienced the freezing issues that other have with Transformers in the add-on drive after the update. I even went back days later to intentionally see if the discs would lock up and both loaded up fine for me. My 360 is always online too.

I wonder what the deal is? Haha I am afraid to even update it because I still don't understand why some have problems and some don't.

idk... only thing I might have done differently than most of the others here is I watched Disc 2 first then watched Disc 1. My add-on was purchased back in June so maybe there is a difference between first launched models and the more recently made ones. I really don't know...

It's very confusing. I just wish Blu-Ray and HD DVD would get it's act together with people not being able to play disc for what ever reason. I remember dvd had it's problems but this stuff is getting troublesome fast.

I popped my Transformers in, did some loading and has worked flawlessly since. Both discs are working fine.
