Default toshiba HD-a2 problems

Hey all,

I just setup my HD-A2 (with updated firmware 2.5) and am having a few problems, was wondering if anyone could provide any help...

I have a LG plasma w/ only DVI Input and am using a HDMI -> DVI cord.

1. For some reason after playing for about 5 minutes the picture drops, and I have to re-select the video source from my tv remote to get it back up

2. When the video is playing there is sometimes some red flecks (kinda like red static) in the dark scenes

3. The audio sometimes plays (going through the toshlink cable for now)

Any ideas? I am using V for vendetta (only HDDVD I have at the moment)

Thanks!! It does look quite sharp though!

The problem is your tv, not the player
I too have an LG 42 PC3D tv, works great but now have the "red snow"
apparently it is a board that needs to be replaced, mine getting replaced tomorrow. A friend of mine also has th same tv and he is now having input problems.. another board to be replaced for him. Good thing is there is a 2 year manu. warranty on these plasmas
also here is a link to the red snow issues from others
