Default HD-A30's Available At MY Local Best Buy Too!

I just went down to my local best buy and saw they had the Toshiba HD-A30 On display for the HD-DVD player with their 42-inch 1080p Toshiba Regza. Up until about a week or two ago, they had the Toshiba HD-A20. I looked up at the shelves and saw they had 3 in stock up there. I was almost about to buy one too cuz I had 500 dollars in my pocket too. But what I'm gonna do is wait for the A35 because since stores carry the A30 now it can't possibly be anymore than a month from now.

To all you HD-DVD lovers, please dont think this dumb of me, but I already bought 7 movies on HD-DVD today to prepare just cuz I was so anxious. Yes I know I dont have a player yet. But when I get the HD-A35, I'm gonna invest in two HDMI cables (I believe Monster 1000 series that supports xyz color or whatever it's called and 12 bit color, top speed processing, etc), one for the player and one for the playstation 3. So I'm gonna update my player.

But boy did it look beautiful in the box. It said "True 1080p HD-DVD player, Model: HD-A30" on the box in big thin print.

To be honest though, I didn't see that much of a difference than that of the A20 that was on display last week there. I could be wrong though. I'm not an HD-movie critic, ya know. But it's okay. Lets me get through the next pay periods so I could save the money for more movies and accessories. Til the next time when I finally get my HD-A35!

Just wanted to share this story with yall. I REALLY was this close to getting the HD-A30 though. I really was. It looked beautiful. Sad they probably wont be available by the time I get paid again in 2 weeks just in case I change my mind which I dont think I will......

Don't waste your money on Monster cables. You can get Category 2 HDMI 1.3 cables that support deep color and all that hoopla for about $20 each from www.monoprice.com. You get a slight discount for ordering more than one too.

I never had a 2G player, but my A30 loaded Hot Fuzz in about 30 seconds.
