Default Actual US Percentage of HD DVD standalones

Since this has been brought up in the smackdown forums and were only hearing stuff that comes from Toshiba or Sony. We dont know who is correct. Here is an independent source who of course is using NPD data.

In the United States, standalone HD DVD players have 61% market share, while Blu-ray players have 36% share and the few dual-format players have a 3% share, according to market research company The NPD Group Inc
Then it goes onto how many addons and PS3s have been sold.
Although Microsoft’s Xbox 360 can play HD DVD movies, the drive has to be bought separately. Only 160,000 drives have been sold so far, compared with 1.5 million PS3 consoles, according to NPD.
3% is the LG player. Sold more than I thought.

I agree on the LG player, would have never guess they had 3% and with the Sammy coming, I could see Dual Format player share growing.
