Default LG BH-100 Questions, Please!

I have an LG BH-100 that I bought a couple months back for pretty cheap. I only recently started messing with it, and have a few questions. When I put in movies, the 1080p on the players screen changes to 1080i. I have the player set to 1080p on the setup menu, and my TV does support it.

Another question is on certain remote functions. I did not get a remote with the player, so I bought the lowest model Logitech Harmony. I seem to be able to access everything judging by the BH100s instruction manual, but on certain import HD-DVDs the "in movie" disc menu does not let me change the audio to english (i.e. Stalingrad). I can't seem to find out what button I need to send me straight to the disc menu. When I load these movies in the xbox-HD DVD I have the option to play the movie from the title, and choose the audio from the title menus, but with the BH-100 my movies start immediately, and I have no way of accessing the title audio menu, only the menu that pops up during play.

Any input would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I don't have this player, only a BH200, but...

Are you using HDMI out? I think component is limited to 1080i on the BH100. If you're using HDMI, I don't have any thoughts.

Can you click the "audio" button in one of those movies? I can click that on the BH200, and it will cycle between the audio formats.

It's running through hdmi, and when I click audio it only has French available. If I put it in the xbox, and go to the audio from the title it gives me the option for English.

You should be able to hit Top Menu or Disc Menu buttons to bring the menu up. If that doesn't work, try up/down/left/right. I think some of the menus slide out.

As for 1080i/p, is this happening on several discs or just one or two? I seem to remember early on some titles were flagged improperly

I still can't access the title, but I did notice the 1080p thing was only certain movies, so i was thinking some were mis labeled.

I read a little bit about the player and read about the limited HD support on these players ( which I knew before I got it), but is the actual HD DVD title menu one of those limits of the bh100?

Some normal scenarios for 1080i content:

1) Blu-ray content that is 60 or 50 Hz will show up 1080i also because BD spec only allows up to 1080p24. I don't know about HD-DVD.

2) There are some movies that are 1080p24 but accidentally flagged on the disc for 60FPS, which makes equipment show them 1080i60. Some players can be manually set to force 24FPS, in which case those titles would show at 1080p24. I don't know if your BH100 can ignore the disc flag and force 24FPS.

3) Some content is simply 1080i right on the disc.
