Can someone still update firmware via ethernet?

I am having difficulty making the connection to my HD-A2.
How do I find my IP address?
Subnet mask?
Gateway?

I was having trouble upgrading via internet on an hd-a30 the other day with original firmware. After updating to v1.3 via a disc I had, I was able to connect via internet and update to 4.0. I'm not sure if this was because the earlier version of software was looking for the server at a different IP address than the newer one or what, but the newer version was able to connect to the server and the older version was not.

yea i updated my a30 to 4.0 a few months ago from my ethernet cable , you have to turn dns off or fuck with some of those options and you will get it to read your internet connection
