probably belongs in the deals section:up:

As far as smackdown goes, it is indicative of the trend of ultracheap HDDVD players being the status quo.

Day after Thanksgiving? Forget it. I went to that sale once and I'm NEVER going again. I don't care how cheap it is, it's not worth the fight.

Dead media? Go back to blu-ray.com, that's where you belong.

Funny, Toshiba belongs to poor people. I don't understand ....buy a player for $150 or $99. But, if you are poor how can you afford to pay $20 to $40 of combo disk. Most of the poor people I know they don't have HD TV yet...So, they are not buying Toshiba crap(Walmart shoppers are very picking they are looking for best deal to feed there family. So they are not involved with Hi-def yet.

Toshiba is the biggest looser - in HI DEF
Do you realize how ignorant you sound since Wal-Mart is the second biggest seller of HDTVs behind Best Buy. You're talking about Wal-Mart shoppers and I'm assuming by your asinine statements that you've never been into one. Geez for a place were people go that can't afford HD TV they seem to be selling a lot of them. WOW

But, once they buy a HD DVD player and start looking up why lots of movies are not coming to thier format..they are returning that crap. like I said look at my post again(THEY ARE PICKEY) They work hard for there money. THEY, don't want their money going down the drain:-#
What do you mean there is no competition for HDTV's? And if you think they won't pay $199.00 for an HD player what makes you think they will spend more on Blu-Ray?
