Default HD DVD add-on, Heroes, Sopranos Pt 1, Sopranos Pt 2- All for $191.69.

I am sure you guys are aware of the deal where you get Heroes Season 1 with the HD DVD add-on. I am also sure you guys are aware that you can get 2 free HD DVDs as well. Those HD DVDs are supposed to be under $35 I believe, but apparantly they will allow any HD DVD, even Box-sets! Heres how it breaks down-

HD DVD add-on $179.99
Heroes $99.99
Sopranos Pt 1 $119.99
Sopranos Pt 2 $99.99

Total with tax $532.46

Total paid $191.69

What a nice $340.77 discount, plus my 5 free in the mail.

Bottom line is GO TO BEST BUY RIGHT NOW!!!

sucks for me as i bought the add on yesterday and picked up inside man & carlito's way along with heroes. i can't even return it since i opened up the 2 movies already. LAME. if i had known boxsets counted i would have picked up matrix & sopranos 6 part 1.

You can buy the movies you opened and return those. It will cost you the price of the two movies, but you'll still have the ones you opened and having both Sopranos for free (or ANY boxset, included Matrix, Planet Earth, or Nip/Tuck, Smallville) is worth doing this, IMO.

I just picked up Sopranos part 1, but they didn't have part2 so I had to 'settle' for Nip/Tuck. Tomorrow I'll return the other player and movies. What a deal!

that's true. i wonder if best buy has caught on yet with the $35 or less. it would be a real hassle to buy the 2 movies again and then not be allowed to exchange them for 2 boxsets.

I would hurry to Best Buy right now. When I got the add-on, the guy who gave it to me even told me matter-of-factly that I could get Sopranos or anything else and that it wasn't limited to $35 movies. If you have the money, you could buy the player first and do the returns later.

I'm in the Los Angeles area. I couldn't get this to work last night but maybe it was because I had already bought the player with heroes on Sunday and had to go up to customer service with my receipt. When the girl couldnt get nip/tuck and smallville to zero out her manager came and said it couldn't work on tv so I ended up getting 2001 and Shaun of the Dead. Thing is that didn't zero out either but then some higher manager put some override code in--I asked again but she said "yeah no box sets".
