depends on the device, Disney+ app content on my Samsung KS8000 is only HD but is 4KHDR on my Apple TV

Roku stick on Samsung UN65JS8500. Netflix and Prime plays UHD/4K content with no issues.

As convenient as they are, I have observed that often times Smart TVs seem less capable with streaming than standalone streaming boxes.

I was able to fix this issue. I had to set my Roku stick display to 4k/hdr 60hz. When I first tried to set this, I was receiving an error that said "this hdmi input is not capable of playing video at 4k/hdr 60hz." I had to set my receiver to 4K HDR Mode. Everything is working perfectly now.
