Default differences between the UK and US markets...well the promotions anyway

just been scooting around amazon.COM and i've just noticed that you lovely yanks can get a PS3 and SEVEN (1,2,3,4,5,6,7!!!!!) free blu ray discs, now if that promotion was on over here i'd be over that deal like a fly to a steaming fresh turd!

But when you have a product (PS3) on the UK market that in the dollar equivalent is $800 (399.99 GBP) then you see 1) the same product selling for $300/150 less you get angry but then on top of that to see an offer giving 7 free movies (granted 5 are on rebate that you have to claim via post) it makes you seriously wonder why it isn't globally the same for a new product.

Anyhoo rant over

I dont think we have ever gotten these types of deals, its always bundles with a slight saving on the game that comes with it. It is definately one thing I envy about the yanks they do get fantastic deals to entice them to buy a product and dont know how lucky they are.

We get shafted with the 'if you want it you'll pay what we charge attitude'. All electrical goods here are dearer than in the US and its not a currency conversion issue either just a rip off pure and simple.
