If you are talking about an HDMI switch go with Monoprice. They are very affordable and I think they have great customer service. I have the 5x1 HDMI switch connecting XA2 (high def player), Denon 3910 (my CD, DVD-A, and SACD player), and Oppo (my region free player for SD DVD.) as well as my Dish HD DVD receiver for sat.

Very good! I'll check into it. Thanks.

Ill let you know. I love my Hd-A2 and I just got a PS3, not really enjoying Talledaga Nights, T2 was good.

Getting the Prestige and Reservoir Dogs this week so we'll see.

Default E.T.Phone HOME!,HOME!,HOME!

Great Subject! Great Post! Brad1963
You have made my day! I love HD DVD and BLU-RAY.

Man, I finally found a place I belong! Like E.T., I have 'phoned home'.

I've supported both formats from the start. It has always be my intention to view both. I care little about those stupid debates on which format and players are better, which will win. All I know is, I'm the winner right now! The PQ I get from both formats on my players are fanastic.

I popped in 'THE WILD' on my Samsung BD-P1000 blu-ray player and was stunned by the clarity of the animation. Later, I looked at JET LI's 'FEARLESS' on HD DVD and was speechless at the clean 1080p picture of the XA2.

I really like reading the reviews on High-Def Digest before going to Amazon.com and ordering a HD disc. I look for what is said about the video and audio quality of the disc first. If it's 4-5 stars, then I would consider buying it. So far, every review I've read and then purchased has be dead on!

Thanks High-Def Digest! Keep up the excellent reviews.
And again, Great Subject! Great Post! Brad1963

I hope this war never ends!

I am supporter of both formats since war begins as you can notice my avatar with both format logos. I own HD DVD add-on and plan get PS3 later this year. I have 15 blu-ray movies ready for my ps3 as blu-ray player later this year. I love both and will add some more movies on both format! Current have 15 Blu-ray and 62 HD DVD. God bless both side despite word of war between them on smackdown forums.

I hope they do it here soon.

I support both. When they get a BD-J standalone out, I'll likely buy in. Until then, I'll just have to wait. Fine with me, Pirates and Casino Royale are still a bit off. (Well, not so much Casino Royale, but I can wait.)

I'm a big supporter of HD-DVD at the moment, but that doesn't mean I'm bitter against Blu-Ray. I plan on picking up a PS3 when my taxes come back, and until Metal Gear Solid 4 comes out, I'll most likely use it pretty exclusively as a Blu-Ray player.

That being said, I can't wait to get my hands on Casino Royale, PoTC 1&2, Prestige (I know I could import it from the UK, but I hate international shipping), Princess Bride, and many other of the Blu-Ray exclusives.

As for HD-DVD exclusives, I'm loving the Universal discs. Out of the 19 HD-DVDs I own, 9 are Universals (With 6 and 4 for Warner and Paramount respectively). I've loved all of them, and can't wait to watch American Werewolf, one of my favourite horror movies and latest HD-DVD, this weekend.

With Children of Men exclusive to HD-DVD, and Casino Royale exclusive to Blu-Ray, I'm just going to have to buy both to satisfy my needs, hehe.

My BD player is out for delivery as I write this. I've got THE PRESTIGE all geared up to watch tomorrow. I'm heading to Laserblazer tomorrow to purchase a couple more BD titles. But I also am planning on watching THE STING on HD DVD this weekend. All I need is a HDMI switch and am doing research on which one to get. Any suggestions on brand? I also watched AN AMERICAN WAREWOLF IN LONDON last weekend, and plan on taking advantage of being able to get both CASINO ROYALE and CHILDREN OF MEN next month. Great stuff!

I own an HDDVD player solely because I had BB Reward points, so I got the HDDVD player for about $300 vs. getting the BR player for $800. Strictly a price issue. I have nothing against BR, other than the price of the players at this point. There are a number of movies I would love to buy like Underworld and The Prestige.

So I too am interested in the question of how the main menu interface works. If anyone can answer it that would be great.

Also, can someone clear up where BR is right now with their version of HDDVD's HDi? Is the BR version available on discs now and what players can utilize the feature.

Thanks for any answers to my noob BR questions.
