Talking monster cable or offical game console cable

most of us know that monster cables are ususally the best cables to use but when using a game console you think its still best to use a monster cable for your system or best to use the HD cable made by the manufacture of your game console ?

explain your reason of which you choose to use

Er, don't buy either of them. They're both rip offs.

If it's a standard cable like HDMI I would go with generic cables (e.g. Monoprice). When there's a proprietary A/V connector (such as for component on the 360, or the PS2) I prefer the manufacturer's cable as I don't know whether the 3rd party stuff is made to manufacturer specs or just a crappy reverse engineering job.

For a digital signal, HDMI, go with monoprice.. for HD visuals over component go with a used pair of monster cables from e-bay. When it's the Wii, PS2, original X-box, etc.. go with whatever is cheap.

The monster cables improve the protection and general quality of the picture when using analogue, however this is really only important for the 360 and ps3... all other systems show minimal improvement.

For the distances people use in their homes there is still no discernible difference. Cables are one of the biggest rip-offs in the electronics industry. If your cable run is less then 20 feet go with the cheap stuff.
