I like the new look. The top reminds me of a volcano, so perhaps someone smarter than me designed it so that the heat would escape through the top? That also would mean players that like to leave the unit on a rug, will be choking it for air and sucking in rug particles. With RAM so cheap nowadays though, do we think they could have spent the extra $10 to make it 32GB? 16GB for the nextest gen system seems quite low. It's good that they're looking at past faults and putting in an SSD. But based on what I just said about RAM, methinks it'll be a 256GB SSD.
Don't misinterpret me, this seems like a solid build. Interested to see how Sony's specs add up.

They definitely seemed to have learned from the Xbox One announcement shenanigans. So far, so good and it's supposed to be compatible with the entire Xbox library. If true, well played MS.

Looks good! If they can do $400 at launch, they might just have a winner on their hands.

Also to note, glad it has a disk drive in it. GameFly lives to see another generation

Both the name and box design are more function over style. Many are speculating that the box design is part of the cooling system, it will be interesting to see how PS5 looks and the GPU speeds on both.

I just see the name as "Xbox" with "Series X" as the model number, currently it's "Xbox One" then the model number. Have to do something like that when you have many SKUs.. "PlayStation + number" is always solid, but that was never a great option for Xbox being a generation behind.
