Microsoft won E3 2015 according to Amazon pre-orders: Forza, Rare and Gears among most popular
Quote:
Online retailer Amazon.co.uk has revealed the biggest winners from E3 2015 in the form of pre-order data. Forza Motorsport 6 was the existing game that received the biggest boost in pre-orders, while Rare Replay was the most pre-ordered game announced during the show.

Forza was boosted by 1005% after its showing at Microsoft's E3 press conference, ahead of EA's Star Wars Battlefront, boosted by 857%, and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege, which was boosted by 690%.
Quote:
On the list of newly announced games, Rare's £20 Xbox One collection of 30 classic games was understandably the most popular, ahead of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Doom, Dishonored 2 and the Final Fantasy 7 remake announced at Sony's press event.

The figures certainly favour Microsoft titles, with only two first party PS4 exclusives (Uncharted 4 and Horizon: Zero Dawn) making the list. The Final Fantasy 7 remake will be a timed exclusive on the console.

Below are the full lists:

I sense peril and hazard for anyone trying to draw conclusions from that fact.

I think some of those preorder bumps were due to preorder incentives. But impressive to see fartza 6 go up 1005% even if it was just put in lol
and i thought racers were hot garbage that dont sell in a dead genre..

Put me down in the i dont preorder games group, unless the preorder incentive is something i have to have like FIFA UT points or some exclusive preorder forza dlc

I was joking but I'm generally against the pre-ordering culture.

Anymore, I'll pre-order from Microsofts retail store because they ALWAYS give you a $10 gift card. That's if I pre-order. I do buy a fair amount digital, so that gives me time to wait and wait till reviews come. I grabbed Far Cry 4 on a pretty damn good digital sale though.
