Default DirectX 11.....finally true next gen....

DX10 was a bust. I ran DX9 and it was no downgrade at all from DX10. So when they announced DX11, all us PC gamers thought scam, yet again. Boy, were we wrong. Textures and mapping are about to get a whole degree of magnitude better. The difference is amazing.

If Elder Scrolls 5 is using DX11, it is YOUR duty to inform the masses here in this very forum. Might I remind you, you're under oath....

Direct X is a collection of application programming interfaces (APIs) made by Microsoft. The current version (11) is supported by all ATI/AMD 5xxx cards. Only a couple games support it so far, but dozens will be supporting it in the 2010 release schedule. PC gaming is going to take it to the next level....its just up to the software guys now...

But no, most current games, released now, are on DX10.1.

Well, that's cool. I wonder if they'll finally make worthwhile engines that use it. It seems that the only thing that really stressed the DX10 muscle was Crysis. I can't think of much else. Though, I do think DX10 was mildly wasteful. This looks a bit more useful. I'm curious who will use it first.

Looks darn good.

I'm still using a Nvidia Geforce 7800GS on a PCI-E/AGP combo board and am thinking of investing into a ATI/AMD Radeon 5750.

Question is: Are ATI drivers really as bad as some say? I've never used an ATI card myself, but the raising Nvidia prices start to turn me off.
