Default Red Dead Redemption

Is anyone getting more excited about this? I'm getting more interested in it every time I read or see something about it. Check out this video:

Does this have a definitive release date? I know I could find the answer, but I'm sure one of you guys are bored enough to find it for me.

I'm definitely looking forward to it. An under-used genre that I love, made by a developer with great credentials - so I am definitely stoked, pardner.

It deserves two threads, then.

Gun doesn't go back far enough, does it? Isn't Red Dead Revolver the true predecessor for it? I played that back on the original Xbox and liked it. But this game looks like it's 2 generations ahead of RDR.

Red Dead Revolver is the true prequel in that it's made by Rockstar, yeah. But RDR was more of a 3rd person action shooter, rather than an open world game a la GTA. Gun, however, was "Grand Theft Equine" as I called it back then, so in a way, it's much more the true predecessor to Red Dead Redemption than Revolver is.

I hear you OP-I originally was like hey! maybe they'll make a decent western game, might have to check it out. After the various trailers and additional info I'm definitely excited about it.

Ah, ok. Good deal. I wouldn't even mind a May or June release date, with the inevitable backlog the next two months are going to cause.
