Default Best charging solutions for PS3 controllers?

I was just wondering what everyone is using to keep their PS3 controllers charged. The cable that came w/ the ps3 is WAY too short, plus I have 3 controllers and only 2 usb ports on my slim.

I'd prolly be fine with 2 longer cords (like 9feet-ish) but wanna know if so, where are the cheapest? I'd imagine they have them under $5 online just not sure where.

I've also seen multi controller charging stations, and those are of interest, however I'd probably end up leaving the "extra" controllers just sitting on it for prolonged periods of time until had extra people over to play, and not sure if that'd hurt the controllers or not. Also not sure which ones are good and which are crap.

Suggestions?

All you need to know about buying cables is that site.

Personally, I always charge one controller with a short USB cord while playing with another. If it runs out, swap. If someone comes over, they're usually both charged enough.

You guys do know you can charge controllers or whatnot with any USB port, right?

I charge my headset and 2nd controller on my laptop now that I have a slim.

I do something similar.

Also, check your cell phone charging cord, mine is the same as the controller charging cord so I use that as well.

Can you just leave controllers on it though? Like will it somehow break the battery built into the controller or overcharge it etc? Cuz I have a feeling I'd prefer a station, but dont trust myself to not forget about leaving a controller on it for a day or two etc

With the USB port on the front of my 360. My PlayStation bluetooth headset is permanently plugged into the 360 as well since I pretty much only use it on my iPhone and I need it charged often.

I also have a USB cable with that type of connector plugged into the back of my PC which I use on occasion, but that's mostly for my Canon cameras.

I don't think it overcharges it. It turns off after it's done, and leaves a trippy green light.

At $30, what does it exactly do that regular charging via USB doesn't?
