Its just been reported over on TSA that Littlebigplanet is finally getting some new levels including A Pirates of the Caribbean level presumably using the much awaited Water feature that has been beta tested for a while now.

Heres what TSA have said about it.

Media Molecule have finally listened. New trophies have just appeared for the game, indicating a follow-up to the epic Metal Gear Solid DLC Level Pack. Cast your precious eyes on the following water-based Trophies for the moment you platformer fans have been waiting for:

Bronze

* PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN Booty Master:
Collect all of the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN Prize Bubbles
*
* Beast Slayer:
Destroy the KRAKEN Boss
*
* Ace Port Royal:
Ace Port Royal
*
* Ace Pirate Town:
Ace Pirate Town
*
* Ace The Frigate:
Ace The Frigate
*
* Ace Cursed Bay:
Ace Cursed Bay
*
* Ace The Kraken!!!:
Ace The Kraken!!!
*
* Tributary:
Publish a Level Using WATER
*
* Salty Dog:
Complete 20 Community Levels that use WATER
*

Silver

* The Bends:
Achieve a score of 7000 in the Diving for Treasure Survival Challenge
*
* HMS Interceptor:
Complete the race in Cursed Bay with at least 4000 Points left on the clock
*

So it seems that MM will be treating us soon to some Pirates of the Caribbean goodness. What better choice to go along with the new gameplay mechanic of water? I personally canít wait, but downloading all the patches is bound to be a pain! Still, at least finally weíre getting some new levels for this gem of a game Ė I canít wait to see how Media Molecule will be using water in the levels, but knowing them, itís bound to be brilliant.

Excellent, this will give me a great reason to pick up this game again. I've let it sit for far to long.

I would assume if they are adding new trophies it will be paid DLC. Given the trophies listed there, I'm guessing $6 - $10; likely $10.

the wife and i played it a couple weeks ago to look for some missing prize bubbles, but it really, really sucks that our save file was wiped a few months back

it ruined it for me

That's pretty awesome, I might play it.

Did it have actual levels? I though it was just stuff to be used in user generated levels?

The Metal Gear Solid deal had actual levels.

There may have been an add-on where you could just purchase the MGS items to use in the user generated levels, I don't remember. But I do know for a fact that there was the MGS level pack that had levels.
