Default New Super Mario Wii

I played this for 5 hours last night with the Wife.

It's a lot of fun. It's old side scrolling Mario but with co-op. There are some issues though as some levels just don't seem to work well in co-op. Other players can get in the way and without a 3 layer background, midground, foreground of LittleBigPlanet, it can get aggravating.

I can't imagine playing this 4 player would be enjoyable. That said, you can pick up another player in order to do tricky platforming bits without having someone in the way but it's not perfect.

Honestly, LittleBigPlanet is a far far better game... but this one is still a lot of fun if you have some friends to play it with. Shame it has no online co-op.

well i won't have any local co op so as a 1 player experience I hope it's good.

I got 10 dollars off for buying this though and used my 20 dollar credit from MW2.

Buying GoW collection with my 10 dollars off!

Agreed Snad-you're right on the money. Wife and I also played this for several hours yesterday and it's a beautiful Mario with the old school experience well in place, but the co-op can become frustrating at times because of the space in certain spots. I have to question whether or not this project was originally intended for co-op at the time some of the levels were being built.

Overall though, fun game that we'll get alot of hours out of. Tempted to try taking turns with this on single player with the wife tonight to see if it works a little better (might help keep the marriage in one piece too, lol, several times there were utterances of "get off my head asshole," thrown my way.

Yeah, I think I'll hold out for Super Mario Galaxy 2 as well.

I believe this is really just "New Super Mario bros" from the DS, ported to the wii with co-op...

Ya cause I doubt you'd say that to her

But just remember that you can pick her up and do some platfomring sections and put them down after... helps a little in some places.

That's what I said when I saw the E3 trailer of the game If I had a wii I would pass on this game.

Well I wouldn't have bought it if I was single. The wife was excited about this one as it's one of the few gametypes that she can play with me. I'll be damned if I put an end to that.

Encouraging your wife to play with your wii as much as possible is a smart thing.

Anything to improve her waggling skills is good for me.
