Default Bethesda to buy Valve?

http://www.vg247.com/2009/10/26/rumo...urchase-valve/

Bethesda's parent company Zenimax Media is rumored to be in talks with Valve for a potential acquisition.

I don't know if this is a good idea to be honest. Steam in particular complicates things a lot.

Kind of reminds me of the rumours of Epic Games being bought out. With the bank they pull in from their Unreal Engine fees why would they need someone to buy them?

Looks like Bethesda's trying to get big enough to compete with EA and Activision.

I believe Bethesda is a subsidiary of Zenimax, so its not Bethesda game studios that is actually trying to compete with EA.
