Default Crytec 3 engine complete. Good news for gamers.

Check it out, looks pretty badass. Maybe this gen will make significant progress without a real upgrade in the next 2 years.

Whats interesting is this gives you the impression you just code the game and it spits it out in 3 different versions ready to go gold... that's my impression.

Could really help the industry and little man IMO. If you don't have teams working on ports you have more guys actually making the game better is the way I see it.

Wouldn't that be God's gift to gaming! Can you imagine equal ports? Or at least games where the versions were "Really good" and "Really good plus some nice bonuses" (It seems now they are "really good version" and "hardware limited version")

Looks sexy. Hopefully it can compete w/ UE3, I'm sick of it.

As long as this means that games look good and remain playable across the board, I'm all for it.

And yes, about freaking time UE3 gets some competition. Hopefully, we'll see fewer "shiny" games being developed.

Considering new consoles are pushed back into 2012 this will definitely be a welcome change from the "Unreal gen".
