Default Playstation Network Now on Amazon -

Not a big deal, but glad to see the psn finally get it. I would have actually used this a while back when we were going to get a psn title for my girlfriends sister, who lives half a country away.

Amazon.com becomes an extension of the PlayStation Store today, as the online retailer begins offering access codes to PlayStation Network add-on content and games for the PlayStation 3 and PSP.

As they did with Xbox Live Arcade and WiiWare, Amazon does with the PlayStation Network, launching a new section of their PlayStation 3 section dedicated to game add-ons and downloadable titles for the PlayStation 3 and PSP. The new area is live now, with a selection of the more popular PSN games and PSP titles. Purchasers will receive a code immediately after making a purchase, which they can then redeem through the PlayStation Network or send to a friend as a gift.

"With more than 600 million pieces of content downloaded to date, consumers are turning to PlayStation Network more than ever for digitally distributed entertainment content," said Peter Dille, senior vice president of Marketing and PlayStation Network. "We are excited to team with Amazon.com to expand our reach with Amazon's market leading ability to target current and future PlayStation consumers."

The benefit here is that friends and family can now easily gift downloadable content to their more game savvy counterparts instead of scouring store shelves for cold, impersonal PlayStation Network cards. Good for them.

This would have been great 6 months ago but it's no longer a problem for me

This gives me the opportunity to buy items from the US store which is welcome. Does anyone know if I'm going to be able to play games purchased from my fake US account on my main account? I know there's no problem with demos or trailers but I wonder about paid content.

Sure.

Except of video on demand, everything works as it does with your European account.

VISA works flawless too, no need for Amazon.

Perhaps we will see discounts as this grows a little older. At the very least, I will get another thing to use all those Amazon Gift cards and "Future Game Purchases" on.
