Default Would you spend $100+ each on game

While the PS3 gets $100 price cut. The game industry is rumbling to raise the price tag of games.

I read an interview recently with a Sony suit claimed $100 price tags on games are coming soon. In many country's the conversion already puts many games at close to $100, and it's coming to the U.S. He blames big game studio budgets, but we all know big budgets don't equal better games always.

I already think a lot of the games out aren't worth even $60 and I already gamefly most of the games I play to save cash. I do buy my favorites but never at full price.

If new game prices hit $100+ would you still buy as many games a year as you do now?

No. I would go full retro.

Secondly, piracy would rise. Just saying.

Any game that features paid loot boxes should be rated AO.

No, can't see myself paying that tomorrow but do acknowledge that because of inflation prices will get there at some point. I just won't be paying that this or next gen.

I can only name a few titles this gen out of a couple dozen that I've actually paid full price myself.

Gotta agree. No way I'd be buying many games. I already only buy 2-3 a year. I'd probably just end up renting more and buying less.

I would not buy ANY new games at that price. If they want to kill their industry they will raise the price to $100 a game.

For sure. I'd just up my account to 3 games out and never buy. 2 $100 games would pay for the whole year.
