Default Afrika Has North American Release Window

SOURCE

Unfortunately, that's a video from GameTrailers, so there's nothing to directly quote. However at the very end of the clip is the relevant statement:

Quote:
Afrika will be available exclusively for the PS3 coming in August.
So there we go. I'm like one of three people on this forum actually happy to hear this news.

I'm all over it, but then I'm weird that way. Despite being a hardcore gamer for years, I'm really getting into this "Games where you don't kill stuff" genre.

I must admit I don't know anything about it.... I'm not looking for a big game hunting game or anything, I am just curious to find out what the premise of the game is.

The premise of the game is that you're a freelance photojournalist (presumably hired by National Geographic, since they're associated with the game and contributed video clips and photography to the in-game database) that has been hired to take photos of the African wildlife. You take missions at your base camp and go out to take the required photos, which are graded on quality. You use the payment from the jobs to upgrade your camera and lenses with Sony equipment for better photos.

And of course, it goes without saying that the game will now feature trophies.
