According to this trademark filling, Sony has trademarked the name Starhawk. I know what your thinking, what has this gotta do with gaming. Hello, Warhawk/Starhawk? Yip, I have your attention now. Dylan Jobe set up a new studio called Lightbox, to move away from Incognito and Warhawk.

He did promise a space based shooter as one of his first projects, this could very well be it.

More at E3?
Warhawk in space

the original is my favourite online shooter this gen, this could be simply amazing and something to fill the gap of Star wars Battlefront 3.

So how would this work? No foot soldiers, no tanks etc... just space ships?

I'm excited to see what comes out of Jobe's new studio. Warhawk is my favorite game of all time and I'm sure they won't abandon the ground pounders . . . even with a potential move to space.

I'd like to see them actually make "Warhawk", as it originally was. I don't think I dig it's "multiplayer" design. I rather tackle big bosses, and hordes of baddies.

I'm picturing epic-sized maps where you battle between to moons, having to fly to each other's base to fight it out on the ground.

Yeah that's what I think as well, perhaps with large spaces station in the middle, where you can also engage in battle on foot or in land vehicles. The idea of leaving a planet/moon in a plane to attack a space station or moon, much like Star Wars could be something amazing if executed well.

Drop ships maybe? Ship to ship combat with space marines? I think you could do foot soliders in the right circumstances.

Yeah sounds good, perhaps soldiers being able to dock on an enemy space ship, infiltrate the ship and maybe even bring it down from the inside. There are so many potential gameplay ideas and mechanics, hopefully a lot of info is released at E3.
