Why not get the PC version? Their is a graphics mod out that improves the look of the game.

It doesn't look like it has any English in it according to the thread over at GAF. I'll just stick with my original copy for now .

Because my CPU is in my bedroom and I enjoy playing games down in my family room on my couch.

Obviously to get people excited for the new Advent Children release...so when Advent Children comes out here in the States in June....could there be a release for FFVII on the PSN?

Good idea .

For the PC version, do the mods help the bugs at all?

There is a patch for crashing chocobo race in XP and one that fixes the mdef bug that affected all versions. Only other bug I know is the Cosmo Canyon one but it never happened to me. If you can't get the trumotion decoder to work use ffdshow.
