Default Battlefield 1943 Coming to XBLA and PSN

Didn't see this one coming, but I'm really happy to hear about it. Classic Battlefield gameplay on three maps with up to 24 players... It sounds like the perfect drop in, play a few rounds, drop out game. I can't wait for this summer.

43??? I have VERY fond memories of Battlefield 1942. It was awesome on so many levels.

If this is basicly the same game... perhaps with some texture updates (one can hope) I'll be all over this.

Yes, 43. (I double checked before I posted.) It's going to use the Bad Company engine so I wouldn't be surprised if all they did was re-create the BF '42 levels in that engine... which means they should be destructible!

I really liked the BF1942 expansion too. It added the Italian levels, but also artillery....

Nice if you read the map names it appears to be based in the Pacific. I never played 1942 but I'm definitely interested. Hopefully they keep it reasonably priced.

Dude.... BF1942 is the grand-daddy with the longer dick of Warhawk.
